This mattress meets the criteria of the old firm cotton futon of yesteryear but with the added durability of 2 pieces medium firm density foam in the middle. We have the foam made just for us using a special blend. . We craft the mattress using two pieces so it folds exceptionally well on the futon sofa frames. After so many years of experience in the  this has proven to be effective and long lasting.
