Hail to the all cotton futon. This is the original futon mattress. Simply comfortable layers and layers of cotton batting. All of our futons are hand tied and tufted to allow the cotton batting to stay in place and retain its shape over time. The all cotton is available from 3" thin up to 9" thick. When you go thicker with an all cotton, remember that this futon mattress can get quite heavy. All cotton is soft in the beginning and becomes much firmer with use. Many people who had futons it the early days remember these heavy compacted firm futons. Many die hard futon aficionados still choose and order all cotton. It is a very traditional futon mat.
   
ORGANIC COTTON – Yes, we offer organic cotton upon special request. This mattress comes either 3” or 5” thick. It is best suited for a flat uniform surface. To make an all organic cotton futon any thicker gets very expensive but we have done it in the past. The all organic cotton futon does not work well on the sofa frames because without any foam the back of the mattress would slide down and not keep its shape very well. It is ideally suited for a sleep surface only. Sweet Dreams on this one.
